Return to BCO for 2025
After a few years’ hiatus, and with much encouragement to bring it back, we are reflecting on the year(s). Since our last writing, we have acquired new faces and returning faces into our BCO family album. In addition, we have modified, renovated and expanded our facilities. Our success with our guests changes from season to season and year to year – the trophies are there – the trail cameras don’t lie, but the weather and the moon phases tend to be our biggest challenges at times. Every year we try to get more creative in our approach, but in the end, it comes to perseverance, timing and God’s grace.
We have a completely renovated and updated interior to our main lodge facilities from where we operate all of our fully guided hunts. The kitchen, eating areas, sleeping and washroom quarters as well as media room are all new as of 2023. Signage outdoors, landscaping, storage shed have all been completed as of this year – 2025. The biggest hit this year has been the addition to the garage quarters – our scent-free locker room whereby guests and guides pre and post hunt store their hunting gear and dry their footwear on boot dryers in a de-humidified, ozonated, and heated locker room.
Our fishing locations have also expanded from not just having two cabins on the Pipestone Chain of Lakes, but also to include a cabin on Rainy Lake. Both locations continue to provide awesome freshwater experiences! We are very blessed to have had over 25 years of providing hunting and fishing adventures, as well as making and maintaining many, many great friendships! We know for sure that those no longer with us – we know who they are, as they all hold special places in our hearts – are continuing their outdoor adventures with Cecil; dear husband, father, father-in-law and grandfather; and like Cecil, are smiling down from above!
We have welcomed new and dear friends from the Canadian Province – Ontario, the United States – Florida, Michigan, Ohio, Vermont, New York, Nevada, Montana, Massachusetts, Wisconsin, Missouri, Tennessee, North Dakota, Connecticut, New Jersey, and Minnesota, as well as the European Country – the Republic of Poland – hopefully this covers y’all! Regardless of new faces or returning faces – you are immediately and warmly welcomed into our BCO Family! We strive to provide you all, regardless of where you travel from, with a safe, adventurous, and enjoyable experience in Northwestern Ontario’s Rainy River District and Sunset Country!
