Border Country Outfitters offers rifle and archery hunts for whitetail deer in northwest Ontario. This area is home to massive whitetail bucks that will often weigh in excess of 300 pounds. The hunts are conducted in permanent enclosed stands, tower stands roofed ground blinds and portable stands on active scrape lines. Hunters are also encouraged to grunt and rattle for big bucks. Success rates are good with opportunities every season for Boone and Crocket class deer .

Archery moose hunting is conducted from archery set-up in the wilderness moose hunting area. Seven day archery moose hunts are offered in late September or early October.

Before deer season opens, we offer hunts for black bear. These hunts are done from stands over baits that are placed on private and crown land. They are offered August 15 to August 27.

In addition to big game hunts, we offer upland bird hunts and also offer fishing packages at our Outpost Cabins.

Border Country is located 9 miles north of Emo, Ontario Canada. Guests can either drive to the lodge or fly into International Falls, MN Taxi service is available.

Getting to border country

Driving Directions: The best way to get to Border Country Outfitters is to take the fastest route to either International Falls, MN or Baudette, MN. If you get to International Falls, cross the border to Fort Frances and take Highway 11 west to Emo. If you go to Baudette, cross the border into Rainy River and take Hwy 11 east to Emo.

Once you get to Emo, go North on the Off Lake Road, and we are located approximately 9 miles north Take a right turn on Dance/Kingsford Road and we are the first building you will see on the right.
